What Does SCF Support?

The Community Board accepts grant applications from registered nonprofit and town organizations operating in Southborough. It encourages applications that bring innovative thinking to big issues and small ones - all for the benefit of Southborough. We support programs that increase volunteerism and community involvement, strengthen civic engagement, and emphasize collaborations that enhance community initiatives.

SCF will consider grants that fall within these priority areas:

  • Human Services - To support families, youth, seniors, and underserved populations in creating pathways that improve overall quality of life.
  • Arts & Culture - To support the cultural vitality of the Southborough community, including the visual arts, the performing arts, and historic preservation.
  • Environment - To support programs that preserve the natural resources of Southborough and to increase environmental awareness, education, and engagement.
  • Community Building - To support increased volunteerism and community involvement, to strengthen civic engagement, and to emphasize collaboration that enhance community initiatives.

SCF accepts grant applications from registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations, organizations with an eligible fiscal sponsor, and town agencies serving Southborough. At this time, SCF will not accept applications from Southborough schools or organized youth sport programs, as they are currently well-funded and stewarded.
