Who:
Join the Community Board of The Fund for Wellesley and Fund for Wellesley grant recipients from Babson College, Wellesley Council on Aging, and Wellesley Board of Health as they rally the Boston marathoners running in April to benefit the Fund.

What:
The Fund for Wellesley was offered 10 invitational Boston Marathon numbers by the Town of Wellesley. Area residents applied for the numbers with the Selectman’s office and those selected will be running to benefit the Fund for Wellesley. The Fund is gathering the runners to thank them for their commitment to the Fund and to share stories of organizations and programs from around Wellesley that have benefitted from grants and support.

In 2010, The Fund for Wellesley granted over $10K to organizations around Wellesley. The grants were used to fund afterschool programs, youth initiatives, and community events and were distributed to Wellesley A Better Chance, The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club, and the Babson College/Wellesley Housing Authority partnership.
