Contact: Rick Stockwood 617.953.0178

Crossroads Community Foundation is excited to announce that effective immediately the foundation will be named Foundation for MetroWest. The name change is part of a rebranding effort by the Foundation to solidify and strengthen its role as the only community foundation serving the MetroWest region.

“Our new name, Foundation for MetroWest, reflects our mission and more closely aligns us with the communities we serve,” said Judith Salerno, executive director of Foundation for MetroWest. “We believe our name now effectively communicates what we do – helping to provide services and support to our neighbors in the MetroWest region.”

Founded in 1995, Foundation for MetroWest has distributed more than $5M to organizations that directly impact the 33 cities and towns of MetroWest, including DeCordova Sculpture Park + Museum in Lincoln, Boys & Girls Club in Framingham, and Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury.

“We are proud of the difference Foundation for MetroWest is making in our own backyard,” said Ken Vona, board vice-chair of Foundation for MetroWest. “Our friends and neighbors are facing an unprecedented need in 2010 and there is no better way to reach them then through Foundation for MetroWest.”
