Over 400 People Participant in 2011 Foundation Nonprofit Workshops
One of the roles a community foundation plays is to serve as a resource to nonprofits. Here at the Foundation we are pleased to support MetroWest nonprofits by providing complimentary opportunities for both board and staff training, and Board Chair learning and networking. We are able to offer these events thanks to a generous grant from the Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation.
During 2011 the Foundation offered the following:
Effective Marketing Communications on a Shoestring
Keeping it Local: The Importance of Hyper-Local Strategies in Getting the Word Out
The IRS 990
Best Practices for Success and Writing Effective Grant Proposals
Planning for Long Term Stability: Building an Endowment
Strategic Planning: Are We Ready for a Strategic Plan?
Building a Strong Foundation: Getting the Board Basics Right
Building a Better Board: Getting the Right People for the Job
Building Your Resources: The Board’s Role in Fundraising
We will continue to offer training opportunities during 2012. Watch for our announcements in the months to come.
