Youth Development
What makes our grants unique is that grants are made by local youth, for local youth through our Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program. Area high school students receive in-depth philanthropy training, then review grant proposals and make funding decisions in conjunction with foundation staff. Thus we accomplish two goals: to provide aid to underserved children in our region, and to enable local youth to participate in the decision-making process. Past grantees include:
