Investment Strategy & Performance

Youth in Philanthropy currently works with middle schools students at Nashoba Brooks School in Concord, MA. These students are entrusted with reviewing and granting up to $10,000 in funds to nonprofit organizations serving children and youth.
In 2010-2011, students recommended the following grants:

To provide therapeutic equine facilitated psychotherapy services for children. Funds would be used for feeding and care of the horses; veterinary visits; maintaince of the facility and replaceing riding equipment.

To provide financial assistance to the family of a 15 year old boy with severe brain damage and a specialized crib at Franciscan Hospital for Children.
$1,500
To provide beds and supplies for a family moving from a shelter into their first apartment through the Up and Out program.
$2,100
To help bring mains hydro-electric power to the Kasiisi Primary School in Uganda.
