Joel has been a shareholder of Alexander Aronson Finning since 1975 and heads AAF’s financial planning practice. He is responsible for many closely held businesses and nonprofit clients. His clients include National Association Chapters, foundations, grant making organizations, arts organizations, schools, and social service agencies.
Joel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Honors from Northeastern University and a Masters Degree with Highest Honors from Babson College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). Joel also has an AICPA Certificate of Achievement in Personal Financial Planning.
Ms. Morgan is a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School and published two articles as a member of the Transnational Law Journal. She holds a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Boston University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from Brown University. She has been practicing law for over seventeen years and was associated with the Boston law firm of Masterman, Culbert & Tully before starting her private practice in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She is principal of Eckel, Morgan & O’Connor.
Ms. Morgan concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, MassHealth (Medicaid) and disability planning, tax law, and the probate of decedents’ estates.
Ms. Morgan is married with two children and resides in Lexington.
Julia K. O’Neill is an attorney at the Feinberg Law Group. She has been practicing business, corporate and securities law since 1985. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity financings and general corporate and business matters. Julia has published a multitude of books and articles on business and the law. She earned her J.D, cum laude, at Boston College Law School and her B.A. in Economics at Yale University.
Julia is a resident of Natick with two grown sons.
Rick works for BNY Mellon as a Senior Director at the firm. As a veteran of twenty-five years in the financial services business, Rick works closely with individual investors and families and advises them regarding their strategic asset allocation, estate planning, charitable giving and retirement concerns.
Rick is a senior member of BNY Mellon’s Wealth Management Council. He is a two-time recipient of the BNY Mellon’s Chairman’s Circle Award, given annually for distinguished achievement.
He has been an active member of both the national and regional New England Chapter of the Family Firm Institute, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the issues confronting multi-generation family-controlled enterprises. In 2007, he was a founding management committee member of the first “Massachusetts Family Business Award.” This award is given annually to financially successful, multi-generational, Massachusetts businesses that also take a leadership role in the growth and welfare of their communities.
Rick is a 1981 graduate of Amherst College. He lives in Lexington with his wife Leslie.
David Shuman joined the firm in 2009 when Sullivan Shuman & Freedberg LLC (SS&F) merged with KLR. Dave is responsible for the overall management functions in the Greater Boston office for KLR. Prior to joining SS&F, Dave managed the firm’s tax department and spent eight years at an international accounting firm. He graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Accounting and from Bentley College with a Masters of Science in Taxation.
In addition to his management responsibilities, Dave works closely with a variety of business owners and successful families advising them on a wide range of business and tax issues. He often serves clients as a member of their extended management and advisory team, bringing broad-based technical skills and pragmatic business orientation to each engagement.
Dave is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council.
Dave resides in Medfield with his wife, Debbie.
John is a certified financial planner and estate planner with over 15 years experience. He is a member of our Board of Trustees.
As a founding member of Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodger, Ed has held a key role in the firm’s development and increasing expertise in the areas of taxation, business law and estate planning. Mr. Tarlow has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University, a J.D. from Boston College and L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University.
Ed is a member of Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association, Boston Estate Planning Council, Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises, Society for Trust and Estate Planners, New England Chapter of the Family Firm Institute (President, 2000 to 2008), Family Business Association (President and Founding Member, 2008 to Present).
Ed and his wife reside in Concord.
Ken is an attorney and founding partner at Vacovec, Mayotte & Singer in Newton, specializing in tax planning, estate planning, and tax compliance. He has served on the boards of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., and is the former Board Chair of the Foundation for MetroWest.
Robert Vigoda joined Rubin and Rudman’s Trust Department in March 2009. Rob has been selected one of WorthMagazine's Top 100 Attorneys in the country for three consecutive years.
Rob has practiced estate planning, estate administration and business succession law for over 30 years. He is a graduate of University of Miami School of Law J.D., cum laude and LL.M. in Estate Planning. Rob is a member of the bar in Massachusetts and Florida.
Rob and his wife Donna live in Lexington. They have two grown children, a son who is an aspiring actor and a daughter attending Teacher’s College at Columbia University.
