Prior to 1995, the MetroWest area lacked an outlet for residents to support the organizations that mean the most to them in the region. So several residents got together to fill that void.

In its 13 years of existence, the Foundation for MetroWest has distributed more than $5 million to local nonprofits, supporting their work in human services, environment, youth development and arts and culture.

Our foundation is particularly effective because its trustees, committee members and staff are all experienced professionals who live in the area and maintain a detailed knowledge of this area’s needs and nonprofits. Our team evaluates grant proposals, identifies worthy charities, seeks collaborative opportunities, and helps families determine where to channel their funds and get the best return.

We enable even the smallest financial donor to make a lasting difference in the communities he or she loves, while allowing like-minded investors to pool resources to create a greater financial impact than they could alone.
